Copart Inc. (CPRT): Director Barry Rosenstein Bought 1,991,189 Shares


Copart, Inc. (CPRT), which provides online salvage-vehicle auction services, widened its quarterly net income to $32 million, or $0.35 per diluted share, from $30.4 million, or $0.32 per diluted share. The company’s revenue increased 34.6% to $173.5 million.


Ron Baron owns 3,209,525 shares, and Jean-Marie Eveillard owns 326,910 shares as of 12/31/07.


Director Barry Rosenstein bought 1,991,189 shares on 3/12/08 at $36.98, and 20,807 shares on 12/06/07 at $40.38. As of September, Director Daniel J. Englander bought a total of 47,500 shares at $34.25 to $34.41.

Scientific Games Corp (SGMS): Director Peter A. Cohen Bought 200,000 Shares


Scientific Games Corporation (SGMS), which supplies lottery products, systems, and services, nearly doubled their fourth quarter profits to $16.4 million or $0.17 a share, compared to $7.9 million or $0.08 a share. The company ramped up their revenue 15% to $268 million from $232.1 million as lottery sales increased. SGMS’s stock dropped to its 3-year-low, after the company lost several online contracts; t he 52-week range for stock is between $15.87 and $40.70.


Ron Baron kept his SGMS shares the same, and Robert Olstein sold out of all his SGMS shares.


Director Peter A. Cohen bought 200,000 shares on 3/12/08 at $18.20 and Director Ronald O. Perelman bought 70,647 shares on 11/29/07 at $32.50.


Chairman and CEO, Director A. Lorne Weil sold a total of 282,000 shares between $34.13 to $34.66 in December. Also, VP Steven M Saferin sold a total of 37,690 shares between $30. and $34.02 since December.


Scientific Games Corp has a market cap of $1.69 billion; its shares were traded at around $19.04 with a P/E ratio of 26.51 and P/S ratio of 1.68.


Crocs Inc. (CROX): Director Michael E Marks Bought 250,000 Shares


Crocs, Inc. (CROX) predicted a lower 2008 outlook as sales decline. For the quarter, the resin footwear manufacturer made $338.3 million or $0.45 a share in earnings (compared to $20.8 million from a year ago), and $224.8 million in revenue (compared to $112.9 million from a year ago). The company’s quarterly domestic sales nearly doubled to $115.8 million and non-domestic sales tripled to $109 million. For 2007, CROX earned $168.2 million or $2 a share, compared to $64.4 million or $0.81 a share from 2006.


The Director of CROX, Michael E. Marks, bought 250,000 shares on 3/06/08 at $19.95.


Large amount of share were sold between $50.21 and $75 since September by insiders: CEO and President Ronald R. Snyder sold a total of 210,476 shares; Director Raymond D Croghan sold a total of 100,000 shares; VP Michael C. Margolis sold 23,336 shares; and Director Thomas J. Smach sold 18,807 shares.

WebMD Health Corp. (WBMD): Chairman of the Board, Director Martin J. Wygod Bought 76,500 Shares


WebMD Health Corp. (WBMD), which provides online health-information, reported an increase in quarterly profits, as the demand for health web services rose. The company upped their fourth quarter profit over seven-fold to $48.3 million or $0.81 compared to prior year’s $6 million or $0.10—not including tax benefits. The full fiscal year, WebMD earned $65.9 million or $1.10 a share compared to $2.5 million or $0.04 as revenue increased by 33% to $332 million. The company shares are currently at its 52-week low ranging $25 to $63.49. HLTH Corporation plans to merge with WebMD in a $2.31 billion deal by the second or third quarter of 2008.


Mid-March, insiders made large buys between $23.67 and $25.06: Chairman of the Board, Director Martin J. Wygod bought a total of 76,500 shares; Director James V. Manning bought 6,000 shares; Director Neil F. Dimick bought 4,000 shares; and finally, Director Stanley S. Trotman Jr. bought 3,000 shares.


WebMD Health Corp. has a market cap of $1.5 billion; its shares were traded at around $26.58 with a P/E ratio of 23.56 and P/S ratio of 4.48.


New York Community Bancorp Inc. (NYB): Director Max L. Kupferberg Bought 100,000 Shares


New York Community Bancorp, Inc. (NYB) operates as a holding company for New York Community Bank and New York Commercial Bank; the company offers banking products and services in the New York metropolitan region. NYB earned $67.4 million or $0.21 per diluted share for the quarter, which is 26.8% higher comparing to a year ago.
