Mason Hawkins: Don’t pay too much even for great companies

Mason Hawkins presented in Longleaf Partners Funds 2005 Annual Presentation his philosophy of investment. Don’t pay too much even for great companies, he said. Similar to bond investing, the right way to make money in stock market is to buy stocks at a discount.
