Expeditors International of Washington, one of the leading global freight forwarding firms, rose after its first quarter EPS (earnings per share) increased 70%, meaningfully above Wall

Street’s expectations. The high incremental profitability of its business model was apparent, as its 28% revenue growth resulted in a 700 basis point increase in its operating margin. Of particular note was Expeditors’ business in Asia – that region grew its

revenues 37% last quarter, while reporting operating margins nearly twice those of the overall company. We believe that Expeditors is well situated to benefit from ongoing increases in trade between the United States and Asia.Also check out:
