Uber has announced its plan to integrate an AI chatbot in its driver app by 2025 to promote electric vehicles (EVs). The chatbot will utilize OpenAI's GPT-4o technology to address drivers' queries about EVs, helping them understand the benefits, charging guidelines, and battery safety.
Currently, Uber collaborates with 180,000 drivers using EVs in North American and European markets. The AI assistant aims to support Uber's initiative to increase EV adoption among drivers.
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and reduce carbon emissions, Uber revealed various green measures during the Go-Get Zero event, including services for fully electric or hybrid vehicles and a goal to achieve a zero-emission platform by 2040.
