The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft successfully returned to Earth, carrying four astronauts from the United States and Russia. According to NASA, the capsule detached from the International Space Station and splashed down near Florida.
Upon returning, the astronauts underwent standard medical evaluations. While one American astronaut experienced health issues, they are currently stable and under observation.
This mission marks the eighth rotation of crew members to the ISS by the Dragon capsule, a spacecraft built by a private U.S. company to transport astronauts. Among the returning crew were NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, Jeanette Epps, and Roscosmos astronaut Alexander Grebenkin, who embarked on their mission to the ISS earlier this year.
The Dragon spacecraft is notable for being the first privately-built American spacecraft to ferry astronauts to and from the ISS, marking a milestone in U.S. space travel since the space shuttle program.
