On November 5, Caitlin Kalinowski, former leader of Meta's augmented reality glasses project, announced her new role at OpenAI. She will spearhead the robotics and consumer hardware initiatives. Kalinowski has an extensive background, having led the virtual reality hardware team at Meta for nine years and worked on the Orion AR prototype project.
