Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from Tianfeng International reports that Apple (AAPL, Financial) is set to enter the smart home IP camera market, with mass production expected by 2026. The company is aiming for an annual shipment volume of millions for this new product, which will be exclusively assembled by Goertek (002241.SZ). The smart home IP camera is expected to integrate seamlessly with other Apple products through wireless connectivity.

Globally, the shipment volume for smart home IP cameras currently stands at around 30 to 40 million units. Apple's goal is to achieve an annual shipment of over 10 million units, underscoring its commitment to exploring growth opportunities within the home market. According to Kuo, the new product will enhance user experience significantly due to Apple's robust ecosystem and will integrate closely with Apple Intelligence and Siri.

Additionally, health management functions are anticipated to become a new selling point for AirPods. Kuo anticipates that AirPods shipments will resume growth from 2024, with Goertek securing the NPI (new product introduction) for the 2026 AirPods model. This indicates a normalization of the partnership between Apple and Goertek. Apple's business is expected to regain growth momentum by 2025.
