Reports suggest that Uber Technologies is considering investing in Pony AI, a Chinese manufacturer of autonomous vehicle sensors and software. This move comes as Pony AI prepares for its initial public offering (IPO). Uber is reportedly planning to integrate Pony AI's autonomous driving technology into its operations in the United States.

Currently, Pony AI's technology is deployed exclusively in China, where it has equipped Toyota-made vehicles as self-driving taxis. The potential investment by Uber could pave the way for expanding the use of this technology beyond China. Pony AI's IPO is expected to be announced soon.
