NVIDIA (NVDA, Financial) has begun shipping its latest GB200 AI servers. The next generation, GB300, is expected to debut in mid-2025. A recent report suggests that supply chain investigations have resolved earlier issues with copper connectors through cabinet redesigns. The first batch of GB200 is in final testing and will ship by December. Production of both models will transition after GB300's design completion. Most leakage problems have been addressed over the past months.

The GB200 NVL36 server cabinet has an average price of USD 1.8 million, while the NVL72 costs around USD 3 million. Experts note that minor assembly issues will not significantly delay mass production. Although GB200 and GB300 will only be six months apart, GB300 offers significant advancements like increased HBM capacity and enhanced FP4 performance. The GB300 will be more mature, and its production marks a milestone in NVIDIA's server technology.
