Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (CDNS, Financial) has announced the appointment of Moshe Gavrielov to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2025. This strategic move is expected to bolster the company's leadership with Gavrielov's extensive experience in the technology and semiconductor sectors.

Gavrielov, who previously served as President and CEO of Xilinx, Inc. from 2008 to 2018, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Cadence. His career also includes significant roles such as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Cadence's verification division from 2005 to 2007, and CEO of Verisity, Ltd. from 1998 to 2005. Additionally, he has held various executive management positions at LSI Logic Corporation and engineering roles at Digital Equipment Corporation and National Semiconductor Corporation.

Upon joining the Board, Gavrielov will receive an incentive stock award under Cadence's 1995 Directors Stock Incentive Plan, valued at $80,219. This award will fully vest on the earlier of May 2, 2025, or the date of Cadence's annual meeting of stockholders in 2025, aligning with the vesting schedule of other non-employee Board members. His compensation will be consistent with that of other non-employee Board members, as outlined in Cadence's proxy statement filed with the SEC on March 21, 2024.

Gavrielov also serves on the boards of NXP Semiconductors N.V. and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd., further highlighting his extensive involvement in the semiconductor industry. His appointment is anticipated to enhance Cadence's strategic direction and governance, leveraging his deep industry insights and leadership experience.
