Social media company YY (YY) announced that it is in discussions with Apple (AAPL, Financial) to demonstrate that its live streaming app, Bigo Live, complies with the iOS App Store requirements for reinstatement. Bigo Live was previously removed from both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store due to reports of child abuse incidents on the platform.

YY stated that since the app's removal, it has implemented enhanced rules and measures, particularly concerning user-generated content, to further protect users from harmful content and prevent malicious and illegal use of its platform. The company is also actively collaborating with relevant authorities, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), to report violations, hold offenders accountable, and prevent, detect, and combat any potential malicious or illegal activities on its platform.
