Panasonic has revealed that it falsified performance data for some of its commercial air conditioning products. The company stated that 668 units sold between 2012 and 2024 did not meet the advertised performance standards. Out of the 2,305 units sold, 668 have been confirmed to have data discrepancies, and the remaining 1,637 units may also be affected. The investigation into these issues is expected to continue until April 2025.
