OpenAI Introduces Tasks Feature for ChatGPT to Compete with Siri and Alexa

OpenAI has announced a new beta feature called "Tasks" for ChatGPT, aiming to compete with Apple's (AAPL, Financial) Siri and Amazon's (AMZN) Alexa. This virtual assistant feature allows ChatGPT users to schedule tasks for future execution. Tasks can be one-time reminders, like concert ticket sales, or recurring daily or weekly tasks, such as news briefings or weather updates.

OpenAI plans to roll out the beta version of this feature to ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Pro users worldwide in the coming days. The initial testing will be available on the web platform.
