IBM Acquires Applications Software Technology to Boost Oracle Cloud Capabilities

IBM (IBM, Financial) has announced its acquisition of Applications Software Technology, a global consulting firm specializing in Oracle (ORCL) cloud application suite solutions. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

According to IBM's Senior Vice President of Consulting for the Americas, Kelly Chambliss, this acquisition is set to enhance IBM's expertise in the public sector and Oracle cloud applications, enabling clients to navigate business transformations with greater confidence.

Beyond its strong presence in the public sector, Applications Software Technology also serves commercial clients in industries such as manufacturing, energy, and consumer packaged goods. The acquisition is expected to be finalized by the first quarter of 2025, pending customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
