GuruFocus Premium Members must have noticed that we have kept adding features to the membership. One of the features we added lately is to our already easy-to-use Interactive Charts is “Customized Series”. You can now define your own series on our interactive charts and draw the historical charts of your defined series.
For instance, you can easily draw the 20-year history of Wal-Mart (WMT) net income and pre-tax income, like this:
However, if you want to draw the tax rate of Wal-Mart, it is hard to do as it is not provided in our existing series. But you can now do it by using our Customized Series function.
Go to our Interactive Chart page like this, you can see that we have added a “Customized Series” on the top of the left menu. Please see the screenshot below:
Click on the “Customized Series” tab, in the pop-up window you will be able to build the formula for the series you want to draw. While you type, the pop-up window displays the related items for you to select and complete the formula.
After you finish the formula, you will be asked to name the series and save it.
Once saved, you can go to the “Customized Series” tab to draw it. It can now be applied to all stocks.
