According to industry sources, Apple's first OLED MacBook Pro is set to launch as planned in 2026, with Samsung as the screen supplier. Samsung Display is currently producing the necessary OLED panel samples for this new line of MacBook Pro laptops.

Experts predict that Samsung's eighth-generation OLED production line has the capacity to produce 10 million OLED panels annually. However, with Apple expected to ship only 3 to 5 million OLED MacBook Pros each year, Samsung will need to expand its notebook customer base to avoid excess production capacity.

The OLED MacBook Pro will incorporate a dual-layer OLED technology similar to that used in the iPad Pro. This design stacks an additional OLED emitting layer on top of the existing single-layer unit, resulting in screens with higher brightness and richer color performance.
