NetEase (NTES, Financial) released its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ending December 31, 2024. In Q4, the company reported a net revenue of 26.7 billion yuan, a 1.4% decrease compared to the same period last year. Excluding non-GAAP measures, net profit attributable to shareholders was 9.7 billion yuan, up from 7.5 billion yuan in the previous quarter and 7.4 billion yuan a year earlier.

For the full year 2024, NetEase's net revenue reached 105.3 billion yuan, compared to 103.5 billion yuan in 2023. The non-GAAP net profit for shareholders was 33.5 billion yuan, up from 32.6 billion yuan in the previous year.

During the earnings call, CEO William Ding and other executives discussed the company's performance and future plans. A key topic was the new 5V5 hero shooter game, "Outland Rush," tested at the end of last year. The game received positive feedback for its gameplay and system innovations. After several months of adjustments, the game is ready for launch.

NetEase is confident in the game’s potential, emphasizing its unique features in gameplay mechanics, system design, and hero narratives, which they believe will appeal to both new and veteran players. The company plans to actively monitor player feedback post-launch, update content, and maintain a healthy gaming environment by combating cheats.
