Informatica (INFA), a leader in enterprise AI-powered cloud data management, has announced an expansion of its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform services on Google Cloud during the Google Cloud Next 2025 event. This expansion includes enhanced support for the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, API Center, and Cloud Data Access Management (CDAM) services that operate natively on Google Cloud.
The newly expanded features provide full support for Databricks with over 300 connectors to facilitate data ingestion. Additionally, Informatica offers no-code data pipelines for data preparation, enabling enterprises to streamline their data management processes significantly. The integration includes comprehensive data governance achieved through Unity Catalog integration.
Enhancements also cover a next-generation API Management system with features such as API deployment across various environments and exposing IDMC processes as APIs. This update emphasizes enhanced API security with capabilities like rate limiting and IP filtering. Automated controls are in place to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks like GDPR and HIPAA.
This strategic expansion is designed to accelerate GenAI, AI, and analytics initiatives with full compatibility with BigQuery for scalability and governance. Furthermore, integration with Vertex AI supports advanced use cases, enabling organizations to leverage Informatica's and Google Cloud's capabilities to enhance business outcomes across various industries, including retail, financial services, and healthcare.
"Informatica's expanded services with Databricks on Google Cloud delivers a seamless experience that will benefit our joint customers as they build data intelligence," said Roger Murff, Vice President of Technology Partners at Databricks. The expansion facilitates holistic management of data assets by eliminating data silos between platforms.
