SIMPPLE Ltd. (SPPL), a leading technology provider in the facilities management sector, has announced the launch of its latest multi-functional robot, Orion. The launch took place at Kings Club, Melbourne, marking the company's expansion into the Australian market. The event was held in collaboration with local partners Above OCM, a property management firm, and Australian Robot Technology, a technology integrator.
The Orion robot is equipped with advanced dual compute modules, a 32-beam 3D LiDAR, and precision navigation systems. It offers a range of functionalities including real-time security surveillance, digital concierge support, as well as intelligent cleaning and sweeping. The robot can operate independently or seamlessly integrate with existing CCTV systems, thereby extending surveillance coverage and reducing operational costs for facilities.
This strategic product launch follows the company's previous success with their 3-in-1 multifunctional Gemini robots, which generated $1.0 million in sales in the Southeast Asia markets of Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand as announced on October 16, 2024. The introduction of Orion underscores SIMPPLE's commitment to advancing robotics solutions that enhance operational efficiencies in facility management.
Norman Schroeder, CEO of SIMPPLE, highlighted the importance of this development, stating, "With increasing pressure for buildings to become safer, smarter, and more environmentally friendly, Orion's launch is timely. It represents an exciting step in our international expansion and showcases our commitment to innovation in service robotics."
