Snowflake (SNOW) has successfully achieved Department of Defense (DOD) Impact Level 5 (IL5) Provisional Authorization, enabling the company to manage highly sensitive Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) on AWS GovCloud US-West. This significant achievement positions Snowflake to provide secure solutions for all branches of the military, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Combatant Commands.

With the authorization, Snowflake has launched Snowflake Public Sector, Inc., a dedicated U.S. Public Sector subsidiary. This new entity focuses on supporting Federal, Defense, State and local government, and education entities, offering critical operations support ranging from financial management and enterprise business operations to logistics, supply chain, cybersecurity, and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT).
