Sagtec Global Limited (NASDAQ: SAGT), a prominent player in customizable software solutions, has announced the launch of its AI-powered chatbot service aimed at revolutionizing customer interaction and boosting operational efficiency in Malaysia’s food and beverage (F&B) sector. The service seamlessly integrates with Sagtec's existing point-of-sale (POS) and online ordering platforms, enabling F&B businesses to offer smart ordering, reservation management, menu guidance, and customer support through various digital channels, including web chat and popular messaging apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
The launch commences with the onboarding of selected F&B partners in May 2025, with a nationwide rollout anticipated in the third quarter of the same year. Following its success in Malaysia, Sagtec plans to expand the AI chatbot service into the regional markets of Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand, marking a strategic move to capture a larger share of the Southeast Asian market.
This development aligns with the projected growth of Malaysia’s food service market, which is expected to increase from approximately US$15 billion in 2025 to US$28 billion by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.26%. In tandem, the online food delivery segment is projected to reach US$3.2 billion in 2025, growing at a 9.62% CAGR through 2029.
