AMD Attracts Bids for AI Server Assembly Plants

According to insiders, Compal Electronics, a subsidiary of Wistron called Wiwynn, and the American company Jabil Inc. are preparing to submit revised bids to acquire AMD's AI server assembly plants. Meanwhile, Inventec and Pegatron have exited the bidding process.

AMD has requested updated bids to be submitted in the coming days. Earlier reports indicated that AMD aims to complete the transaction by the end of the second quarter. The factories, located in Texas and New Jersey, are valued between $3 billion and $4 billion.

The process is ongoing, and it remains uncertain whether AMD will finalize a deal. Representatives from Compal, Inventec, Pegatron, and Wiwynn declined to comment, and AMD and Jabil have not responded to requests for comments.
