SS&C Technologies (SSNC, Financial) has revealed insights from its 2025 Global Enterprise AI survey, highlighting the importance of strategic planning, governance, and process orchestration in successful AI implementation. The survey, conducted in December by SS&C Blue Prism, gathered responses from 1,650 executives in the financial services and healthcare sectors worldwide.
The findings indicate that 94% of respondents view process orchestration as a fundamental component of the technology stack necessary for seamless AI management. Data management remains a significant challenge, with 44% of organizations lacking effective systems for transferring large data sets and 41% encountering issues with data accuracy and consistency.
Workforce transformation is identified as a promising avenue, with 84% of business leaders acknowledging AI's potential to revolutionize work practices. Furthermore, 40% of companies are investing in upskilling their workforce for new or expanded roles, driven by AI adoption.
Despite the positive outlook, the survey highlights several challenges. Security and compliance concerns are the most pressing issues, affecting 37% of organizations. Additionally, 35% report a shortage of skills and expertise, while integration and migration complexities also pose significant barriers to AI adoption.
While 88% of organizations are measuring AI's value, only 36% report consistent, discernible benefits from their AI implementations, emphasizing the need for refining adoption strategies. The survey notes that 29% of respondents have already adopted autonomous automation, and 44% plan to implement it within the next year, although trust in the technology remains a concern for 78% of participants.
