New Era Helium, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEHC), an exploration and production company, has commenced Phase 1 of its 250MW data center project through Texas Critical Data Centers (TCDC), a joint venture with Sharon AI. This strategic initiative involves expanding the planned land acquisition from 200 to 235 acres in Ector County, Texas, with the property closing anticipated within 90 days.

The data center is set to feature a cutting-edge net-zero AI and high-performance computing facility. Its power infrastructure will rely on reciprocating natural gas engines equipped with CO2 carbon capture technology. TCDC has set a goal to have the initial 100MW online by December 2026, with the remaining capacity to follow within six months.

The venture is currently making strides in securing essential project components, such as lit fiber access, finalizing gas supply agreements, and designing power plant infrastructure. TCDC is actively engaged in formal discussions with potential clients and is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with an engine provider soon.

As part of the project's forward momentum, TCDC has also launched a dedicated project website at texascriticaldatacenters.com, providing detailed information about the project's objectives, design strategy, and overall market significance.

New Era Helium's strategic vision includes evaluating opportunities to acquire more acreage for future expansion phases, as the company continues to establish a robust platform supporting AI, HPC, and semiconductor advancements.
