Docusign (NASDAQ: DOCU) has announced the release of the industry's first AI-powered contract agent, a move set to transform agreement management through its Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform. This innovation allows for rapid analysis of agreements, immediate risk identification, and pinpointing issues needing human intervention, optimizing what were traditionally manual review processes.
According to Deloitte, 77% of high-performing organizations recognize the importance of effective agreement management, a sentiment that Docusign's new offering aims to address. The AI contract agents are scheduled for a U.S. launch by the end of 2025, initially targeting procurement and sales workflows.
Key features of the IAM platform include Docusign Iris AI engine, Agreement Prep, Agreement Desk, AI-Assisted Review, Workspaces, CLEAR Identity Verification integration, Custom Extractions, and Obligation Management. These components are designed to streamline workflows, drastically cutting down on administrative delays.
"Our AI contract agents don't just summarize text—they automate and enhance the entire agreement process," stated Dmitri Krakovsky, Chief Product Officer at Docusign. "By leveraging Docusign's two decades of digital agreement expertise, we're delivering a solution that addresses the inefficiencies and risks inherent to traditional contract management."
