  • Colibri Resource (CBI) extends El Pilar Main Zone by 70 meters, reporting high-grade results.
  • Drill hole JES-25-112 returns 7.2 g/t Au and 80 g/t Ag over 2.6 meters.
  • Upcoming plans include a maiden resource estimate and a 50,000-tonne test mine.

Colibri Resource Corp. (CBI) reported significant assay results from the final three holes of a 10-hole diamond drilling program at the El Pilar Gold & Silver Project located in Sonora, Mexico. The company, holding a 49% interest in the site in partnership with Tocvan Ventures, announced a 70-meter extension of the Main Zone southward.

Notably, drill hole JES-25-112 returned results of 7.2 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) and 80 g/t silver (Ag) over a 2.6-meter interval. This promising result was part of a broader mineralized zone averaging 0.5 g/t Au over 46.9 meters beginning at 54.5 meters depth. Additionally, core duplicate analysis revealed 18 g/t Au over 1.1 meters, indicating the presence of coarse gold.

Looking ahead, Colibri is preparing to advance a maiden resource estimate and finalize plans for up to a 50,000-tonne test mine/bulk sample. Previous metallurgical studies at El Pilar showed exceptional recovery rates of 95-99% for gold and 73-97% for silver, using gravity recovery with an agitated leach process.
