Li-FT Power Ltd. (LIFFF) has officially commenced the 2025 Environmental Baseline Data Collection Program at the Yellowknife Lithium Project. This initiative is a pivotal move towards the project's advanced permitting activities and contributes significantly to mine planning endeavors.

Building on data accumulated during 2023 and 2024, the program concentrates on regions adjacent to existing pegmatite dykes, potential sites for future infrastructure development. The comprehensive assessment comprises four core components:

Aquatics Program: This includes bathymetry, hydrology, water quality surveys, and began on April 5th, 2025, with under-ice sampling.

Atmospherics Program: Covering air quality, noise, vibration, and meteorological monitoring, this year-round effort aims to establish baseline ambient conditions.

Terrestrial Program: Focusing on vegetation, soils, permafrost, and wildlife studies, this part of the program will involve fieldwork in the summer months.

Human Environment Program: This aspect addresses heritage resources, land use, and socioeconomic conditions, incorporating Indigenous resource use and knowledge.

The initiative is being managed by Det'on Cho Environmental, owned by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation, emphasizing Indigenous employment and community involvement. This strategic collaboration underscores Li-FT Power's commitment to ensuring comprehensive environmental assessments while engaging respectfully with local communities and stakeholders.
