Apple (AAPL, Financial) is undergoing significant changes in its Siri development team under the leadership of newly appointed engineering chief Mike Rockwell. Rockwell is restructuring the team by replacing much of the leadership with deputies from his Vision Pro software team. The restructuring focuses on enhancing Siri's voice recognition, comprehension, performance, and user experience.

Apple first introduced Siri in 2011, but the voice assistant has since fallen behind competitors like Google, owned by Alphabet (GOOG), and OpenAI. To address this, several top software engineering managers have been recruited to strengthen the Siri team, aiming to improve its capabilities and user satisfaction.
