Ladies and gentlemen, let me extend a warm welcome to all of you on behalf of the supervisory board and the executive board. I now open today's 2025 annual general meeting of Merck KGAA. My name is Michael Kleinmeyer, and as Chairman of the supervisory board, I assume the chair of this AGM. Let me first of all welcome our shareholders and shareholder representatives. The company's executive board has carefully deliberated this decision. A virtual format requires less effort for participating in the meeting, and the virtual format also helps to reduce environmental impact.
