QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK), a prominent developer of embedded FPGA (eFPGA) Hard IP, has announced a significant achievement by delivering its first eFPGA Hard IP optimized for Intel 18A technology. This milestone marks the first-ever delivery of eFPGA technology for a sub-5nm process node, a development that promises improved power consumption, performance, and optimal silicon area utilization.

The company utilized its proprietary Australis™ IP Generator to complete the foundry-specific Hard IP in just six months. This rapid development cycle showcases QuickLogic's technological capabilities and efficiency in delivering cutting-edge solutions. With this foundation in place, customer-specific variants can now be delivered even faster, allowing for prompt response to market demands.

QuickLogic's eFPGA Hard IP is available immediately and can be customized with various resources of LUTs, Block RAM, and DSP Blocks, tailored to meet specific commercial and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) design requirements. Two versions of its FPGA User Tools support the technology: Aurora, featuring 100% open-source components for enhanced transparency, and the commercial-grade Aurora Pro, which includes Synopsys® Synplify® FPGA Logic Synthesis.

"For over three decades, QuickLogic has been a trusted supplier of size, weight, area, performance, and cost (SWaP-C)-optimized programmable logic for both defense and commercial markets," said Brian Faith, CEO of QuickLogic. "With our eFPGA Hard IP now available for Intel 18A, we can deliver customer-specific variants quickly, reducing program risk and lowering the cost of using eFPGA technology."
