North American commercial payment platform WEX Inc. (WEX, Financial) announced an enhancement to its fleet management solution, WEX EV Depot. The new feature introduces a private charging station payment function, making WEX one of the few providers offering integrated payment services for all charging scenarios, including station, public, and home charging.
This new capability allows corporate fleets to use a dedicated WEX credit line for payments at private charging stations, public networks, and home charging setups, streamlining card management. The feature also enables fleet managers to guide drivers to prioritize designated stations or private chargers and set charging during off-peak hours to reduce costs.
Carlos Carriedo, COO of WEX Americas Payment and Mobility, emphasized the challenges fleet managers face with fragmented data from various charging facilities during the transition from fuel to electric vehicles. The WEX EV Depot offers a comprehensive 360-degree solution to support efficient and scalable operations.
