Dräger, a global leader in safety technology, has introduced the Alcotest 7000, a next-generation alcohol screening device designed to enhance DUI prevention, support Department of Transportation (DOT) protocols, and improve workplace safety initiatives. The Alcotest 7000 boasts dual-function testing capabilities, enabling both funnel-based prescreening and precise mouthpiece breath testing. This innovative device supports law enforcement, DOT compliance, and workplace safety professionals by delivering reliable and accurate results.

Key innovations of the Alcotest 7000 include Bluetooth® wireless data transmission, storage for up to 10,000 test results, and a 2.4" full-color display for clear visibility. It operates effectively across a wide temperature range, from -10°F to 131°F, allowing it to function reliably in various environments.

The device is specifically tailored for non-invasive checks in law enforcement operations, providing quick, contact-free screening through a funnel attachment, or precision testing using a Slide 'n' Click mouthpiece for DUI enforcement. Both testing modes ensure hygiene and safety, with features such as a dual-sided mouthpiece that includes a hygiene spacer to prevent direct contact during use.

Dräger's Alcotest 7000 also caters to workplace testing requirements, especially within DOT-regulated industries, by incorporating automatic lockouts for overdue calibrations, and a 15-minute lockout following positive results. This ensures compliance with 49 CFR Part 40 procedures, making the device not only accurate but legally defensible in workplace testing.

With this launch, Dräger continues its legacy of innovation, building on over 70 years of alcohol detection expertise and reinforcing its commitment to road safety and impaired driving prevention. In 2023, Dräger reported revenues of €3 billion, solidifying its presence as a leader in the safety technology sector, operating across more than 190 countries with a workforce of over 16,000 employees worldwide.
