IBM (IBM, Financial) has announced the launch of a dedicated Microsoft Practice within IBM Consulting, a strategic move aimed at enhancing their collaboration with Microsoft to drive complex AI, cloud, and security transformations. This new practice integrates IBM's consulting expertise with Microsoft's advanced technology portfolio, including offerings like Azure OpenAI, Azure Cloud, Fabric, and Sentinel, along with Copilot capabilities.
The initiative brings together a robust team of over 33,000 Microsoft-certified professionals distributed across global markets. This substantial workforce is positioned to provide clients with innovative solutions in cloud, AI, data, and security, alongside global implementation capabilities. The focus on providing end-to-end transformation services and enterprise-grade security further strengthens IBM's offering.
IBM’s Microsoft Practice will operate by integrating Microsoft’s technology ecosystem within IBM’s AI-powered delivery platform, IBM Consulting Advantage. This strategic enhancement is further evidenced by IBM’s track record of delivering over 14,000 Microsoft projects worldwide, including successful implementations such as the State of Arizona Department of Child Safety's use of Microsoft generative AI solutions. Additionally, more than 30 IBM software solutions are currently optimized for Microsoft Azure, offering clients tailored automation and AI solutions.
IBM’s new practice will also focus on developing industry-specific solutions for sectors like retail, government, financial services, and supply chain, with offerings including IBM Copilot Runway and IBM Consulting Azure OpenAI Services. This sector-focused strategy aims to help clients unlock new growth opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and drive industry-specific innovation.
