Lenovo and Intel have announced the release of ThinkShield Build Assure, a new security solution aimed at strengthening supply chain assurance for commercial products. This collaboration leverages Lenovo's world-renowned supply chain expertise and Intel's (INTC) advanced security technologies to provide increased transparency and risk mitigation for Lenovo's x86 hardware components.

ThinkShield Build Assure offers an enterprise-grade SaaS platform that allows customers to electronically verify the integrity of Lenovo commercial devices throughout the supply chain. By enabling real-time tracking and validation of critical device information such as BIOS manufacturing records and platform certificates, this solution helps detect unauthorized changes post-manufacture and ensures device integrity at every stage, from factory floor to end-user deployment.

Built on the Intel Tiber Transparent Supply Chain, the new solution provides automatic verification processes that confirm the authenticity of components, installed firmware, and configuration. This reduces the risks associated with counterfeit components and supply chain attacks, offering enterprises a competitive advantage in terms of operational security and efficiency.

The Lenovo ThinkShield Build Assure solution will be available for Lenovo x86 commercial PCs in select markets worldwide by the first half of 2025, reinforcing Lenovo's commitment to providing robust supply chain security to its global customer base.
