Summary:

  • Draganfly (DPRO, Financial) teams up with Autonome Labs to develop a UAV-based demining solution.
  • Initial testing is set for 2025 with pilot programs in post-conflict regions.
  • The solution aims to enhance safety and speed in landmine clearance operations.

Draganfly Inc. (DPRO), a pioneer in drone technology, has entered a strategic teaming agreement with Autonome Labs to create an integrated aerial demining solution. This collaboration integrates Draganfly's Heavy Lift drone platform with Autonome's M.A.G.I.C. mesh-based system to safely and efficiently deploy demining mesh that detonates and neutralizes landmines.

The initiative focuses on reducing risks to human demining teams and accelerating the restoration of safe, usable land in hazardous terrains. Initial integration and testing are slated to begin in 2025, followed by pilot programs in post-conflict areas later in the year.

Draganfly highlights the partnership as a significant example of its technology's potential to save lives and aid in rebuilding communities. The Heavy Lift drone platform is calibrated for precision deployment, ensuring the accurate delivery of the smart mesh system in challenging environments.

With this project, Draganfly expands its application of drone technology beyond traditional commercial uses, tapping into the specialized humanitarian sector. The global challenge of landmine clearance persists in over 60 countries, with traditional methods often being hazardous and time-consuming. The UAV-based solution promises a more rapid and safer clearance process, representing a substantial technological advancement in humanitarian demining.
