AptarGroup, Inc. (ATR), a global leader in dispensing and protection technologies for the pharmaceutical and consumer product sectors, announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2025, ending March 31. Despite a challenging market environment, the company reported sales of $887 million, reflecting a 3% decrease compared to the same quarter last year.

Net income for the quarter was $79 million, down 5% from the previous year. Additionally, the adjusted earnings per share (EPS) were $1.20, with the reported EPS standing at $1.17. The company's adjusted EBITDA reached $183 million, signaling a 3% uptick from the prior year, and resulting in an adjusted EBITDA margin of 20.7%.

Notably, Aptar's Pharma segment recorded a 2% growth in reported sales and a 4% increase in core sales, driven by sustained demand for drug delivery systems. Conversely, the Beauty segment experienced a 7% decline in reported sales, attributable to a decrease in prestige fragrance volumes.

Aptar returned approximately $110 million to its shareholders during the quarter, which included $80 million in share repurchases. Stephan B. Tanda, President and CEO of Aptar, indicated confidence in the company’s strategic positioning and anticipates further growth across all segments in the upcoming quarters.

Looking forward, AptarGroup projects its EPS for the second quarter of 2025 to fall within the range of $1.56 to $1.64, leveraging its strong operational performance and strategic market positioning.
