Apple is planning to adjust its iPhone release schedule to accommodate its expanding product line. According to reports, Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected to be launched in 2026, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series and the "Air" series models. Meanwhile, the standard version of the iPhone 18 release will be delayed until 2027, coinciding with the next generation of the iPhone 16e.
The current iPhone lineup includes six models, and the addition of foldable models requires Apple to reorganize its product release timetable for better management and marketing efficiency. The foldable iPhone is anticipated to adopt a book-like folding design, rather than a clamshell. When folded, the screen size will be 5.7 inches, expanding to nearly 8 inches when opened.
