Stardust Power (SDST, Financial) has signed a pivotal service agreement with Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company (OG&E) to build an electric substation at Stardust Power's location. This partnership marks a crucial step in establishing the company's planned lithium refinery at Muskogee, Oklahoma's Southside Industrial Park.
Under the agreement, Stardust Power will cover the substation's engineering, procurement, and construction costs through a long-term usage commitment to the facility. This development allows OG&E to expand its electrical infrastructure and engineering capabilities, ensuring a reliable power supply to Stardust Power’s future refinery.
Once operational, the refinery is expected to be among the largest lithium refineries in North America. It aims to significantly contribute to the domestic supply chain for battery-grade lithium, vital for electric vehicles, energy storage systems, military technologies, and AI applications.
