- DAT Freight & Analytics integrates new LaneMakers tool into its DAT iQ Benchmark freight analytics platform.
- The tool enables shippers to identify active carriers for underserved lanes seamlessly.
- Announcement made at the 2025 Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo in Orlando, Florida.
DAT Freight & Analytics has announced a significant upgrade to its DAT iQ Benchmark™ freight analytics platform with the integration of LaneMakers, a tool designed to streamline the process of finding untapped truckload capacity for shippers. This new feature allows users to efficiently identify active carriers for underserved or underperforming lanes without interrupting their benchmarking workflow.
The integration introduces a seamless experience for shippers and brokers who can now access LaneMakers directly from within the DAT iQ Benchmark interface. By doing so, they can instantly view a list of active carriers moving similar freight, helping them identify the best options that align with their sourcing strategy. Sarita Benjamin, Senior Director of the Shipper Business at DAT, emphasized the efficiency gained by reducing manual sourcing efforts.
LaneMakers, which has been a part of the DAT One load board, utilizes historical load-board postings and searches to identify carriers actively engaged in a shipper’s target lanes. This integration aims to enhance the carrier network and improve contract coverage, especially in low-volume or problematic lanes.
The announcement was made during the 2025 Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo in Orlando, Florida, where DAT also showcased other shipper-focused features. Dr. Chris Caplice, DAT's Chief Scientist, is set to speak at the event, discussing truckload procurement strategies for managing costs and demand forecasting.
