Rising motorsport talent Sebastian Murray made his second INDY NXT by Firestone appearance over the weekend at the Grand Prix of Alabama. Competing in the No. 2 Dream Racing Dubai Dallara for Andretti Cape and sponsored by Lottery.com (NASDAQ: LTRY) and Sports.com, Murray managed his best qualifying result of the season by starting in P10.
During the race at Barber Motorsports Park, Murray advanced to P8, demonstrating strong race pace before an incident in Turn 8 led to tire damage, affecting his performance for the remainder of the race. He ultimately concluded the race in P16. Currently, he holds P17 in the championship with a total of 27 points.
The race not only highlighted Murray's potential but also showcased the debut of the striking red and black design of the Lottery.com and Sports.com branding on his car. This branding was prominently featured on the car’s rear wing, front nose cone, and his driver overalls.
Looking forward, Murray is preparing for the upcoming double-header challenge at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course scheduled for May 9 and 10. Despite the setback, he remains optimistic about collecting more points and gaining more experience throughout the season.
"We were in a good position during the race and had the potential to finish strong," reflected Murray. "I'm grateful for the team's support from Andretti Cape, and I am looking forward to the races at Indy. It's an opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities further."
