The strategic partnership between IBM and Oracle has expanded to bolster AI and hybrid cloud capabilities, marking a significant development in the enterprise technology landscape. This collaboration includes the integration of IBM's watsonx portfolio with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), which aims to enhance productivity and efficiency through AI-driven solutions.

Key to this expansion is the availability of IBM's watsonx Orchestrate on OCI, set to launch in July 2025. This will support multi-agent workflows across Oracle and non-Oracle applications, allowing seamless operation in diverse business environments.

Furthermore, IBM's Granite family of AI models will be accessible via OCI Data Science by the latter half of 2025, providing Oracle customers with more AI model choices. This integration will occur through AI Quick Actions, making the models available as a cached LLM.

IBM's Envizi ESG Suite will initially launch on OCI in Saudi Arabia within the next 12 months, enabling organizations to automate the capture, management, and reporting of ESG data on a scalable platform.

In addition to these developments, IBM's watsonx.ai is now certified for OCI, enhancing the scalability and performance of AI application deployment on this platform. IBM Consulting will extend its services to assist customers in deploying AI agents across platforms and modernizing infrastructure with Red Hat OpenShift on OCI.

The partnership underscores IBM's and Oracle's commitment to providing flexible, efficient AI solutions designed to meet the complex demands of modern enterprises, paving the way for innovative AI deployment across hybrid cloud environments.
