Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: CSIQ) has launched its latest high power N-type module series, the TOPBiHiKu CS6.2, featuring advanced TOPCon 2.0 technology. This cutting-edge module achieves a maximum power output of up to 660 Wp and a conversion efficiency of up to 24.4%, positioning it at the forefront of solar energy solutions for utility and commercial & industrial (C&I) photovoltaic systems.

The TOPCon 2.0 modules incorporate several technological advancements, including fine line printing that reduces finger width by 30%, an advanced firing process that enhances voltage by 10mV, and rear polysilicon optimization that achieves bifaciality of up to 90%. These innovations contribute to significant operational benefits, such as an optimized temperature coefficient of -0.28%/°C, leading to a reduction in balance of system costs by up to 2%, and a 5% decrease in Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) compared to standard TOPCon modules.

With global deliveries commencing in August 2025, Canadian Solar aims to cement its position as a leader in solar technology innovation, offering substantial improvements in energy yield and system value. This new product launch aligns with Canadian Solar’s strategy to enhance project economics, particularly in land-constrained projects and markets with high electricity costs, where maximizing energy output per square meter is crucial.

Canadian Solar will showcase the TOPCon 2.0 module series at Intersolar Europe from May 7 to 9, 2025, in Munich, Germany.
