Highlights:
- Kenorland Minerals (OTCQX:KLDCF) and Auranova Resources complete the first-ever drilling program at the South Uchi Project's Papaonga target.
- The program revealed multiple mineralization types, including quartz systems and visible gold traces.
- Complete assay results are anticipated in late Q2 or early Q3 2025.
Kenorland Minerals Ltd. (OTCQX:KLDCF) and Auranova Resources have successfully completed their 2025 Winter drilling program at the South Uchi Project, located in Ontario's Red Lake District. This inaugural drilling campaign at the Papaonga target included 27 diamond drill holes, covering a total of 14,363 meters across an area extending 8km by 3km.
The program focused on identifying mineralization within gold-in-till and heavy mineral concentrate anomalies. The drilling strategy employed widely spaced drill fences, ranging from 500 meters to over 1 kilometer apart, designed to explore structural corridors concealed by overburden and Papaonga Lake.
Noteworthy findings from the drill program encompass multiple mineralization forms, including quartz stockwork systems, multi-stage veining, and sulphide mineralization with traces of visible gold. Nonetheless, the presence of mineralization does not necessarily imply economically viable gold grades.
Future plans involve maintaining the existing camp infrastructure for three additional months, allowing for a potential summer drill program to further investigate the Papaonga target. Complete assay results from the winter program are expected to be released by late Q2 or early Q3 2025.
