Accenture (ACN) has announced its acquisition of Ascendient Learning, a subsidiary of Axcel Learning, previously owned by Alpine Investors. This strategic move is designed to bolster Accenture’s capabilities in providing instructor-led training and certification services, an essential component in helping organizations meet the surging demand for technology development and workforce upskilling.

Ascendient Learning, an amalgamation of training companies including Accelebrate, ExitCertified, and Web Age Solutions, brings a comprehensive course catalog exceeding 850 offerings. This includes in-person and virtual instructor-led training, digital certifications, and vendor-authorized IT training, specifically catering to IT and digital skills. The addition of Ascendient Learning's nearly 75 professional staff will significantly enhance Accenture's LearnVantage business.

Kishore Durg, global lead of Accenture LearnVantage, highlighted the importance of the acquisition, noting that clients face ongoing challenges in keeping pace with technological advancements.
