In a strategic move to boost cloud-native application development, Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ: AKAM) has formed a partnership with global IT services leader FPT. As a recent addition to the Akamai Partner Program, FPT will leverage its expertise in cloud migration, AI, and automation in collaboration with Akamai's compute platform to empower customers in building and supporting distributed cloud applications.

This new alliance highlights FPT's robust financial performance, having achieved a remarkable 27.4% year-on-year revenue increase in global IT services in 2024. In the first quarter of 2025, the momentum continued with a 13.9% increase in revenue and a 19.4% growth in profit before tax, signaling steady growth and resilience in a competitive market.

Demonstrating the potential of their collaboration, Akamai and FPT showcased AI-powered media archive monetization at the 2025 NAB Show. The demonstration illustrated how AI-driven content analysis on Akamai Cloud can automate the detection of players, actions, and critical moments in sports archives, thus creating rich metadata for enhanced content discoverability and viewer engagement.

With a global presence spanning 30 countries, including 16 locations in the Americas, FPT has established itself as a formidable player in the IT services sector. The Americas accounted for over 24% of FPT's global IT services revenue, bolstered by a significant $225 million deal. This strategic partnership with Akamai is poised to further accelerate FPT's growth trajectory, driving innovation and efficiency for enterprises worldwide.
