Rimini Street, Inc. (RMNI) has partnered with ServiceNow to assist Apsen Farmacêutica, a leading Brazilian pharmaceutical manufacturer, in implementing a cutting-edge enterprise-wide workflow automation system. This strategic move allows Apsen to layer ServiceNow's capabilities over its existing SAP ECC 6 ERP platform, thereby enhancing autonomy, reducing information silos, and boosting operational efficiency without the risks associated with migrating to SAP S/4HANA.
The alliance focuses on a flexible, modular ERP approach, freeing Apsen from dependency on traditional vendor systems. The initiative has already brought significant improvements, such as automating 70% of previously manual processes, cutting development cycles from months to weeks, and empowering the organization to develop processes that support its business needs autonomously.
"We are thrilled to partner with Rimini Street to deliver Apsen Farmacêutica this next-generation technology, which enhances their existing systems without the need for costly migrations," said Seth Ravin, CEO of Rimini Street. Peter Russo from ServiceNow added that the combined solution allowed Apsen to start reaping benefits merely weeks into the implementation.
The partnership also enables Apsen to focus resources on innovation rather than expensive system upgrades, with plans to expand automation to critical processes like logistics and finance. This approach aligns with Apsen's organizational goal to balance agility, innovation, and cost-efficiency, marking a significant cultural shift within the company.
