HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd. (HIVE) has announced significant advancements in its Bitcoin mining operations, surpassing a global hashrate of 7.3 Exahashes per second (EH/s). This marks a 10% increase from the previous month's peak of 6.6 EH/s, primarily driven by the successful completion of the first 100 MW phase at the Yguazú site in Paraguay.
April 2025 proved productive for HIVE, with a total of 102 Bitcoin produced, averaging 3.4 BTC daily. The company attributes this success to its strategic deployment of BUZZ Miners and Bitmain S21+ air-cooled units. The next phase of development is progressing, with 13,400 Bitmain S21+ Hydro miners already shipped, projected to add an additional 4.3 EH/s.
Continuing its growth trajectory, HIVE aims to achieve a total global hashrate of 11.5 EH/s by June 2025 and expand further to 25 EH/s, bolstered by ongoing construction at the Valenzuela site. The company raised C$96.9 million through an ATM offering, selling shares at an average price of C$3.84, to fund its ambitious expansion plans.
With Bitcoin prices surpassing $100,000, HIVE expects to nearly double its daily production to six Bitcoin by June, further strengthening its position in the global Bitcoin mining landscape.
