RUA GOLD (OTCQB: NZAUF) has announced the completion of the second phase of surface exploration at its Glamorgan Project, situated in the Hauraki Goldfield, New Zealand. This area is renowned for its historic production, exceeding 15 million ounces of gold. The project is strategically located adjacent to OceanaGold's Wharekirauponga deposit, which is known to have Indicated Mineral Resources of 1.4Moz at 17.9 g/t Au.
The exploration results have identified four significant gold-arsenic soil anomalies, each extending over 4 km. Additionally, the rock chip samples from this phase revealed high-grade gold content of up to 43 g/t Au. The exploration program also utilized Controlled-source Audio-frequency Magnetotellurics (CSAMT) geophysics to identify three resistive structures that may indicate deeper silica-quartz formations, crucial for potential epithermal gold-silver systems.
RUA GOLD has employed various advanced exploration techniques, including geological mapping, TerraSpec clay mineralogy, and ultra-detailed UAV magnetic surveys. These methods have successfully highlighted major alteration cells associated with surface quartz veins and epithermal alteration textures.
In preparation for drilling, the company plans to submit the Access Agreement application by the end of May 2025. The VRIFY AI-platform is being used to model the exploration data systematically to identify and prioritize drill targets. Simon Henderson, COO of RUA GOLD, stated that the exploration program has revealed three zones with potential for significant mineralization, forming a strong base for the upcoming drill testing phase.
