DevvStream Corp (DEVS), a pioneer in carbon management and sustainability investments, has partnered with Fayafi Investment Holding through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the creation of "Fayafi x DevvStream Green Ventures." This joint venture aims to fast-track investments in decarbonization and climate infrastructure projects globally.
The new venture will leverage DevvStream’s expertise in operational and technical aspects, while Fayafi will utilize its capital resources and extensive institutional network. The initial funding commitment stands at $100 million, with the potential to scale significantly based on project performance.
The ownership structure of the venture designates 80% to Fayafi and 20% to DevvStream, with revenue shared on a pro-rata basis. This arrangement allows DevvStream to expand its global influence within the energy transition and environmental assets spheres, creating recurring revenue streams from project management, consulting, and carbon monetization, all with minimal upfront investment.
Firm agreements are anticipated by the second quarter of 2025, with project deployments slated for the third and fourth quarters. DevvStream will retain exclusivity during the feasibility phase and a first right of refusal on carbon-related projects, ensuring a robust strategic alignment with Fayafi.
Carl Stanton, Chairman of DevvStream, highlights that Fayafi will be instrumental as both a strategic and financial partner, offering significant advantages to DevvStream investors. Bobby Campbell, Chief ESG Investment Officer for Fayafi Investment Holding, views this MoU as a substantial step forward in climate finance, promising future growth through this partnership.
