Twilio (TWLO), a leader in customer engagement solutions, introduced its next-generation platform at the SIGNAL 2025 conference in San Francisco. This new platform is designed to leverage AI and data to enhance customer interactions, promising increased personalization, security, compliance, and return on investment for its over 335,000 active customer accounts and more than 10 million developers.

Key updates from Twilio include advanced conversational AI capabilities, such as ConversationRelay, which allows the creation of natural voice AI agents with real-time streaming and the latest speech recognition technology. Additionally, Twilio is expanding its global compliance and trusted communication channels, offering Rich Communication Services and WhatsApp Business Calling as part of its enhanced Communication Platform as a Service (CPaaS).

Twilio also announced major updates to its Segment Customer Data Platform (CDP), including a new Journeys architecture within Twilio Engage designed to deliver real-time transactional experiences.
